REGARDING GEORGE OHR: CONTEMPORARY CERAMICS IN THE SPIRIT OF THE MAD POTTER

A selection of my works will be exhibited at the group show Regarding George Ohr: Contemporary Ceramics in the Spirit of the Mad Potter, which will take place at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, in Florida, from November 7 through April 8, 2018.

Curated by renoun art critic and ceramics experts Garth Clark, the show will pay tribute to the legendary Mississippi potter George Edgar Ohr (1857-1918), also known as “The Mad Potter of Biloxi”.

Besides Ohr’s masterpieces, the museum exhibition will showcase a selection of works made by 18 contemporary artists who, in their own way, carry on the legacy of Ohr’s artistic endeavour through their avant-garde and creative approach to clay work.

In the context of the exhibition, I will also participate in an artist panel discussion alongside the exhibiting artists for the Ceramics Symposium, which will take place on Saturday, November 11 at the museum and the Florida Atlantic University.
